Toyo Steel

OSAKA
We had the opportunity to visit this small factory in the suburbs of Osaka, this family business started in 1969. Mr Hisashi the CEO is the son of the founder of the company, they started to produce steel products for the Japanese industry as boxes for the cargo ship, mecanics, vehicles...
They won the "Good Design Award" in the category "Good Design Long Life Design Award" in 2009 with the box Y-350. This box was on the market in Japan since 1984.
We love the atmosphere of this factory, we were able to follow the production chain step by step and meet the team that makes the boxes.
We were able to see the prototypes of the collaborations as Disney, Subaru, Trusco, Evangelion, Mercury, & Nut and more.
This is a mold of the model T-150.
